 People want a practical space to work from home. As a result, home offices have become very important. A small study nook is no longer sufficient.
More than one home office space is now required.
Additionally, children need a space for home schooling. Tertiary students need to participate in online lectures and zoom sessions with their tutors. 
Firstly, students need a well lit but dedicated study space.  Secondly, it has to be comfortable & inviting.
Private study space within the home is needed for different generations. Zoom video meetings & conference calls are the norm.

Motorisation also gives you the option to set a limit on a blind to open to say just partly closed (and can be easily changed at any time).

Kids bedrooms with custom made seat cushions that fit into a seating nook (such as under a window for good lighting); can be coordinated back to window furnishings and bed linen.
