Paul has worked in small business since he left school. Based in Melbourne, he worked for  25 years in the retail bookselling and publishing industry. During this time Paul also worked with Coleen on several major renovations. In 2005 Paul and his family moved to the Gold Coast for a life change.

"I was a bit over the big city way of life and Coleen and I both thought, if we are going to have a change lets make it a big one, so we moved to the Gold Coast". We love the lifestyle here and also the climate.  Coleen and I also decided we would have a go at working together as we always knew we were a great team. The synergy in the partnership works well for us in the business as we bounce off each other. I think we bring different skill sets to the business. I am very strategic and systemic in my approach, whilst Coleen is exacting in her attention to the details and ensuring we are on track  with each clients work.

"Although all small businesses are busy and challenging, we try to make each day a bit of fun. I think our staff and clients like that too."

Coleen's career has seen an interesting and varied path. She began with a qualification in Hospitality before beginning a long and successful career as a flight attendant before finally hanging up her wings to have a family. In between bringing up two children she maintained her ability to travel frequently by working as a travel consultant .   "Working such varied and flexible hours both as a flight attendant and a consultant allowed me to indulge my passion for interior design. I was able to use the opportunity of travelling to different places to keep up to date with overseas trends (this was before the internet!) and to source different fabrics for the various projects I was working on. When the children were older and became more independant it was then a natural next step to teaming up with Paul to run our own soft furnishing business."

Coleen has been decorating homes since 1978 when she project managed her very first own home. With her eye for detail & colour she soon had people asking for her help & advice, eventually teaming up with Paul on mutual projects.

"Paul and I are both passionate about interior furnishings. Your home is one of the most important places in your life. We enjoy making our home a special personal sanctuary in which to relax and enjoy. We love helping others to do the same."

Harley is the Spring Crest resident mascot. Most often found snoozing under Coleen or Paul's desks, he loves our clients who make a fuss of him, and he especially loves playing with children whilst their parents look around our showroom...

He is a friendly little fellow and loves to meet new people.He loves children and they love him as well.

He works most days in the office but has an agreement with senior management to work from home some days to ensure a proper work life balance!
